13 June 2000. (What follows is pure conjecture on my part.) Since we are half-way into the year and there has been no news, we can presume that the new album and tour promised for this year will be a bit later than expected. This can also be inferred from the fact that Mícheál's album with Paddy Glackin has not yet been released (and will presumably have to be promoted, toured, etc.). Also, Brian's new "Albion" album, due for release on the Hearts of Space label earlier in 2000, has been cancelled. Brian and Jeff have apparently bought the master from HoS and will release it on the Ark label in the autumn. That will presumably also require touring, promoting, etc.

So, folks, pending any official announcement, we can presume that we are in for a wait. In the meantime, I hope to offer an interview with Brian "real soon now".
